Letter from the CEO: Flux7 Expands IT Services Portfolio

Today we announced a new and evolved portfolio of services to help enterprises design, architect and self-manage digital business technology platforms that support digital transformation and growth. I’m excited to share this new service portfolio with you.

As an organization that embraces continuous improvement, we are constantly reflecting on how to best serve the business, technology and process requirements of our customers. The demands on our customers have evolved a great deal over the past couple years, and as a true partner, we’re evolving alongside them.

Specifically, as our customers look more and more to how technology can directly impact business value and support strategic business initiatives, we are similarly aligning our portfolio of IT consulting offerings to pillars that help enterprise technology leaders define and deliver technology platforms that support digital transformation.

Aligning our product portfolio with these business values plays a critical role in supporting new business directions, revenue streams, and digital experiences — all of which directly impact corporate revenue and success.

According to Gartner analysts Bill Swanton and Hung LeHong, in their February 4, 2019 report, A Digital Business Technology Platform Is Fundamental to Scaling Digital Business (available to Gartner subscribers), “Many enterprises have ambitions to become digital businesses. Therefore, CIOs need to evolve their current IT landscape into a digital business technology platform to support the new experiences, offerings and business models.” Yet, Bill Swanton notes in his November 26, 2018 report, How to Build a Digital Business Technology Platform (available to Gartner subscribers) that “CIOs cannot buy a digital platform, so they must build one themselves.”

More than a lack of off-the-shelf digital business technology platforms, at Flux7 we believe that you can’t leave your core business differentiator to a third party. However, you can find a third party who will help you adopt new technologies and processes that will grow your productivity, and who will teach your team how to more effectively use these new tools to manage their systems in pursuit of business excellence.

And, technology, and more specifically, a digital platform that supports innovation, is a core underpinning of today’s vision-to-outcome chain that should not be outsourced. Let me explain:

1 – The chain begins with the CEO who, in taking in many different data points, determines a vision and strategy for the business. Ultimately, how the company evolves is often an outcome of two elements: an increase in revenues and a decrease in costs.

2 – Both elements (revenue and costs) depend on a digital innovation platform. With it, enterprises can enable new revenue streams, rapidly react to change and opportunities, and add automation for cost control measures. (For additional reading on how to Prepare an IT Platform for the Agile Enterprise, download our guide here.)

3 -With strategy and platform in hand, the business can now react to the market. For example, the business may enable new ML-based analytics that provide deeper business insights which may, in turn, drive the creation of new digital experiences for customers which may then empower new revenue streams.

4 -The last link in the chain is where technology execution enters. Here technologists execute on the vision, strategy and direction with the appropriate tools, whether that be continuous integration pipelines, IT automation, security, or something else.

Flux7 helps enterprises navigate the journey of building a platform that enables both revenue generation and cost management. It facilitates operational demands that allow the business to decrease costs. Moreover, to increase revenue, enterprises must have a platform that enables data analysis and facilitates innovation through experimentation. A digital business technology platform is what enables the business to evolve and pursue its vision. More than technology and processes, however, teaching employees how to manage and grow a digital business platform is also critical to business success. As a result, Flux7 focuses on knowledge transfer throughout the course of our customer engagements, ensuring that customers are equipped to succeed in the short- and long-term.

To these ends, our new IT Services Portfolio is focused on core operational and innovation-focused needs, helping enterprises achieve technology platforms that support digital business. Anchored by four practice areas and corresponding technology and knowledge transfer services, our full-fledged IT Services Portfolio is here to help you and your organization combine the business, technology, and process benefits of cloud DevOps, analytics, security and more to give you the ability to achieve your business vision with confidence.

Our IT consulting services team looks forward to engaging in this conversation with you more deeply. Please reach out to us today to learn how our new portfolio can enable your vision — and outcomes.
