Flux7, Hashicorp Engineer Present Consul Infrastructure Recipes

Join us Wednesday, February 7th in Austin, TX as Flux7 hosts a dynamic discussion with Consul HashiCorp Engineer Preetha Appan, who will share how Consul can solve several specific infrastructure and distributed systems problems.

Considered a highly available and distributed service discovery and KV store, Hashicorp Consul – designed with support for the modern data center – helps make distributed systems and configuration easy. Ms. Appan will discuss how Consul uses these features to address:

  • Service registration and load balancing across service instances.
  • Running active/passive instances that failover without operator intervention using locks
  • Transparent data-center failover during outages using prepared queries
  • Turning experimental features on/off for a subset of application servers using the KV store
