Flux7, HashiCorp Present HashiCorp Vault Dynamic Database Credentials
Join us Wednesday, June 13th in Austin, TX as Flux7 hosts a dynamic discussion with HashiCorp Solutions Engineer Sean Carolan, who will share how to use Vault to reduce risk, gain visibility, and secure your data.
Database credentials are the keys that allow users and applications to retrieve and display customer data. If these credentials get into the wrong hands, they can be used to steal credit card numbers, passwords, personal information or other sensitive data. Unfortunately, database credentials are often casually left unprotected in text files, wiki pages, run books and even log files.
In addition, users and applications often share credentials, making it difficult to know who or what accessed the database. Some organizations even use the same credentials to access different database servers, increasing the risk of multiple environments being compromised.
June’s HUG will help attendees learn how to address these issues, in the process growing visibility, accountability and security.
