Flux7 CEO on Turning Seven, NTT Acquisition and the Year Ahead

When Ali Hussain and I founded Flux7 seven years ago, little did we know how far this name and the promise behind it would carry us over the next seven years. Seven is the number for good fortune and on our seventh anniversary, I am privileged to share with you several fortuitous milestones, the most noteworthy of which is Flux7’s acquisition by NTT DATA Services. I’m proud to say that this acquisition marks the beginning of the next evolution of Flux7’s ability to meet the needs of our customers and employees through deeper modernization, innovation, and operational excellence.

This milestone was preceded by several quarters of record growth. Indeed, Flux7 was named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing privately held companies for the second year in a row, ranking nationally with a three-year revenue growth of 277%. Inc. also ranked Flux7 as the 39th fastest-growing IT Systems Development company. Clearly, there is still a significant demand for Flux7 solutions that help enterprises architect, build and manage secure, adaptive technology platforms that help create business advantage through digital business platforms. We look forward to scaling to meet this demand, continuing to provide and expand quality services to our customers as an NTT DATA Services company.

Expanded IT Services Portfolio

In 2019, we unveiled a new consulting practice dedicated to helping organizations take advantage of cloud-based High-Performance Computing (HPC). The new practice enables organizations to plan, secure, build, modernize and scale cloud-based HPC infrastructure for expanded insights, greater productivity, faster time to market, and increased ROI.

Anchored by four practice areas and corresponding technology and knowledge transfer services, we expanded our portfolio of IT consulting services this past year. Focused on core operational and innovation-focused needs, our full-fledged IT Services Portfolio is designed to help organizations combine the business, technology, and process benefits of cloud DevOps, analytics, security and more with an ultimate goal to help enterprises achieve technology platforms that support digital business.

Customer Success

At Flux7, we are honored by the company we keep. Working alongside leading enterprises across industries, we are proud to report that we saw customer contracts continue to grow year-over-year, a tangible illustration of the value Flux7 customers see from our work together.

In addition to our customers’ vote of confidence, we were proud to report that Flux7 was named a 2019 Gartner Cool Vendor in Business and IT Services. Recognized as a Cool Vendor by the world’s leading research and advisory company Gartner, Flux7 is one of only five vendors named in the Gartner report, Cool Vendors in Business and IT Services, published May 14, 2019. In this vein, Flux7 was also recognized by Forrester for its Cloud Migration Services in its Now Tech: Application Modernization and Migration Services Q1 2019 report.

And, Flux7 was named to the 2019 CRN Next-Gen 250 list for the third year running. The annual list recognizes standout IT solution providers that embrace emerging technologies to adapt to an evolving marketplace. Flux7 was recognized for its ability to implement cutting-edge solutions for large enterprises while consistently meeting customers’ ever-changing IT needs to drive the adoption of transformational technologies. Which brings us full circle. Flux, the idea of being able to flow with continuous change, is at the core of what we do here at Flux7, enabling our customers to meet changing business needs with agility powered by process, automation, and innovative technology.

Turning seven is an important milestone. We couldn’t have done it without the hard work of our dedicated employees and customers who place their trust in us to help them meaningfully impact their business. In 2013, Ali Hussain and I founded Flux7 with the vision to help organizations experiment more, fail cheap, and measure results accurately in the digital world. We remain committed to this vision today and look forward to continuing to flux with our customers as we embark on our next evolution as an NTT Data Services company.
